John Jerome Kayanja

Position: Architect

Profile: John Jerome Kayanja is a well trained and experienced Architect having designed and supervised projects ranging from markets, schools, hospitals, office blocks to residential and commercial developments. He has worked on multiple projects funded by organizations such as BTC, Ministry of Water and Environment, Ministry of Local Government, Uganda People’s Defence Forces, KCCA, Aponye Limited and many more.

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Makerere University and Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Uganda Management Institute. Jerome is a registered Architect having acquired certification with the Architects’ Registration Board in 2018, and is an upstanding Corporate Member of the Uganda Society of Architects.

Fred Kamanyi

Position: Architect

Profile: Fred Kamanyi is a seasoned Architect with a work history that gives him a more diverse experience. He has designed, both personally and in collaborations, projects for clients like NSSF, UNCST, the Uganda Police Force, Ndejje University, UWA, World Bank, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development to mention but a few.

Fred’s work with KCCA has availed him with a keen insight into the approval process of national planning authorities which in part informs his design approach. His training foundation gives him a unique understanding of the more technical aspects of the architectural field.

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Makerere University and Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Uganda Management Institute. Fred is also a registered Architect having acquired certification with the Architects’ Registration Board in 2018, and is a proud Corporate Member of the Uganda Society of Architects.

Jjuko Kwagala Steven

Position: Assistant Architect

Profile: Jjuko Kwagala Stephen is a Design Architect who has developed enormous knowledge and skills in Design/Build & Supervision of projects including but not limited to residential dwellings; institutional low cost housing, classrooms and town council headquarters. Through innovations & appropriate technologies like low cost construction to energy solutions (solar water heaters), many people in the region have been empowered.

He is also involved in the application of visualization and HCD processes to a partner machining and maker-space involved in prototyping and tooling for various indigenous activities like agro-processing.

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Makerere University.

Joseph Agwer

Position: Project Manager

Profile: Joseph is a multi-disciplinary Project Manager for Infrastructure and Construction. Joseph has over 8 years of experience in pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, design, construction supervision and contract administration of multiple development and infrastructure projects in East Africa.

Joseph has worked in teams and successfully implemented all phases of multimillion-dollar construction and infrastructure projects for private clients, the Government of Uganda, World Bank, African Development Bank, EXIM Bank of Korea, EAC and Inter-governmental Authority on Development in Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti and recently in Tanzania/Burundi. These projects include but are not limited to: schools, technical institutes, hospitals, markets, office blocks, commercial buildings and one stop border posts.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Infrastructure Management and a BSc. in Construction Management from Makerere University. Joseph is a registered Project Manager having acquired the PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate in 2015, and is an upstanding Corporate Member of the Architectural Association of Kenya and the Association of Construction Managers of Kenya.
